At 22, Mario Beauregard was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease. Combined with double vision, Mario couldn't work. Instead, he picked up a camera.
Mario's humble beginnings have brought him a long way. He started out working as a wedding photographer and later as a press photographer. From there he worked in commercial studios shooting retail photography. Today, Mario spends his time shooting stock images.
"Microstock is the way to go. The world is changing fast, and photography has to follow because the need for it is increasing with the Internet," said Mario. "Stay true to yourself and shoot what inspires you. Practice. It took me years to develop a style and technique that I'm comfortable with."
