SEM Manager

Are you a SEM pro with 4+ years of experience working with major e-commerce brands? Have you helped drive growth and optimizations through testing and analysis on all major search engines as well as mobile and social platforms? If so, then we’re the next step forward in your career.

Fotolia.com - a globally ranked, top 500 e-commerce site, is looking for a top-notch SEM Manager to implement and oversee our global search engine marketing activities. The position is based in our Paris office and reports to the Marketing Director.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in the use of a search management system such as Kenshoo, Marin Software, Efficient Frontier or eSearchVision, as well as an understanding of web analytics and website tracking solutions. Excellent written and verbal skills in both French and English is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop near and long-term SEM account strategies, roadmaps and execute day-to-day tactics that increase revenue, site traffic, conversion and margins.
  • Manage the search engine marketing channel: tracking, reporting, and analyzing of all PPC initiatives and campaigns, with responsibility for forecasting and budgeting.
  • Become a "product expert" in our industry, understand the hot issues and new developments, and create an associated keyword expansion roadmap, working closely with the different teams to develop relevant ads and landing page content.
  • Manage the day-to-day search marketing activities across multiple search engines and multiple countries
  • Review and editing of ad copy, review and analysis of web site performance metrics, and optimization of campaigns.
  • Research (discovery and expansion), grow and optimize our keyword portfolio through testing (A/B and Multivariate)
  • Drive continued innovation and best practice implementation, regularly sharing your knowledge with the marketing team and top executives.
  • Work with country managers in 20+ countries, product marketing, creative, product management, engineering and SEO team.

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Marketing Degree preferred
  • 4+ years experience managing paid search programs for well-established online ecommerce
  • Hands-on knowledge of best practices in SEM and a proven track-record of delivering qualified traffic from both an acquisition and conversion standpoint
  • Experience managing international SEM campaigns - in targeting customers in specific international regions/countries
  • Exceptional copy writing and editorial skills in French & English. Additional language is an advantage (especially German or Italian)
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to drive meaningful actions from large data sets.
  • Fundamental knowledge and experience with web analytical tools and interfaces (Google Analytics preferred) are required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Multi-tasking, ability to set priorities, exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail.
  • A self-motivated, team player that takes accountability and ownership of his/her own work
